On behalf of SWR, we delivered essential depot safety enhancements to improve movement around the sidings for SWR staff and to enable capacity to berth longer 701 10-car trains.

Deliverables included:
1) Installation of new track disconnector switch and associated cabling
2) Removal of 37m section of conductor rail 200m section of conductor rail de-energised and removed
3) Installation of new lighting bollards, remedial and replacement works to improve LUX levels and align with industry standards
4) Installation of walkways, paths and handrails delivering safety enhancements to SWR staff and operatives

SWR and Lowery consulted collaboratively throughout to facilitate forward planning of train stabling within the sidings whilst works were ongoing, and to identify any concurrent third party works to avoid confliction. All works were planned to minimise any disruption to normal operation of the sidings.
