Lowery appointed to three-year traction power maintenance agreement with London Trams
Lowery is pleased to announce that London Trams have competitively selected us as Service Provider for their 3+2 year Lineside Isolators (LSI) maintenance programme, inclusive of 92no LSIs themselves and their associated feeders including Ad-Hoc Emergency call-outs throughout the 28km tram network service boundary centred on Croydon. This service will contribute to the operational resilience and reliability of the network, with its 19m annual ridership.
This competitive award builds upon Lowery's prior delivery of design, manufacture, supply and replacement of six off-load LSIs within the Therapia Lane depot on behalf of London Trams. Investments Lowery will be making on behalf of London Trams include improved digital reporting and asset information availability and a programme of training to expand scarce resources associated with traction power for the Trams network.
Company Director - Power & Track, Daniel Burge commented: "We're pleased to be able to deepen our association with London Trams, providing a direct local workforce for specialist traction power maintenance works to help millions of people go about their day with confidence in public transport. On behalf of the Lowery team, I look forward to many years of closer working with our London Trams colleagues to do just that".
