Bank Holiday Weekend Works at Euston Station
Story
As part Euston HS2 Enabling Project on behalf of Skanska this weekend Lowery Ltd successfully commissioned a new 11kV/415V Transformer Ring Main Unit (RMU), Diverted 1 Pilot cable and diverted two HV 11kV cables at various locations around Euston Station. Due to the complex nature of the feeding arrangements the works had to be undertaken under a 52hr Possession of the station. The works included multiple isolations, jointing, testing and commissioning and then bring the circuits back into service on equipment that dated back to 1960's took all of Lowery Ltd.'s previous experience and expertise to plan and deliver the project successfully without accident or incident on programme.
Commendations
All,
Great effort this weekend. We also mustn't forget that this is also a result of all of the hard work in the weeks and months leading up to it. From a confidence perspective, this will be a really important building block as we progress with the rest of ONW.
Please forward my thanks to the wider team.
Many thanks
