Lowery Ltd London Bridge Thameslink Project - 2020

Lowery Ltd have successfully completed the first part of our GRIP 5-8 contract on the Thameslink London Bridge Residual Works Project for our client BAM Nuttall with a brand new Points Heating Installation.

The Points Heating system for five ends of points has been improved with new trackside cabling fed from new Points Heating Transformers and Control Cubicle relocated within Brunswick Court Railway Arch.

As part of a wider package of Signalling, E&P and Civils Works awarded to Lowery by Network Rail’s CP6 Framework Contractor BAM Nuttall Lowery have successfully installed and commissioned the new installations ready for the next Points Heating Season.

The scope for Brunswick Court included both the design, electrical and civils elements of the works: supply and installation of new foundation bases for the PH Transformers and Control Cubicle, alterations to the guard railing and steps to the mezzanine area, installation of new core hole risers through the apex of the arch to track level, fitting out and installation of the new Control Cubicle and installation of the associated Remote Conditioning Monitoring equipment, supply and install Transformers, supply and install new cables and containment up to the points at track level, new trackside termination boxes, test and commission.

This was a combined team effort by our multiskilled Signalling, E&P and Civils Project Teams so well done to all the Lowery staff involved.

Many thanks also to the BAM Nuttall Thameslink Project Team & Network Rail for their ongoing support to safely deliver these works, it is very much appreciated by the Lowery team.

Now to safely recover the old installation and move onto the next Points Heating Farm!
