LUL South Harrow Cable Route Management System

Works are progressing on our LUL contract for the installation of a new Cable Route Management System between South Harrow sidings and Sudbury Hill substation, required as part of the TfL Piccadilly Line Upgrade Programme (PLU).

Our teams have installed approximately 95% of the route which consists of approximately 1km of new cable post route mounted on anchor screw piles, Surface troughing route and cable containment on bridge abutments and within Sudbury Hill Substation. Works have been undertaken during engineering hours and a number of critical activities were undertaken during a weekend blockade in late January.

Works are due to be completed Mid-March in preparation for new DC and LV power cables to be installed to feed the newly constructed sidings.
