SRE Recognise Lowery for Lineside Fire Support

On June 26th, a lineside fire broke out in the New Forest, near Lowery's HV Feeder & Switchgear framework sites. Lowery staff were on-hand to limit the amount of damage the fire caused to the operational railway and overall disruption to the travelling public.

The SRE's Liz Baldwin (SID Director) and Mark Killick (Director Engineering and Asset Management) jointly commented: "We just wanted to recognise and thank your staff, namely Darius Devesel, Rob Bell and Steve Mackenzie for their proactive and professional response to the lineside fires which occurred on our Wessex route on 26th June."

"This is a great example of helping us in Putting Passengers First, supporting our Happy Customer Enterprise Outcome and living one of our Enterprise Behavioural Charter Basics “We Take Action”. Their actions were a credit to themselves and Lowery."

The SRE have kindly written to each of Darius Devesel, Robert Bell and Steve Mackenzie, providing them each with a shopping voucher by way of gratitude.

Lowery believes that the key to success lies in the quality of our staff, demonstrated here, and we offer our public thanks to the team also.
